    We thank the authors of the letter1 for their thoughtful review of our article2 and in particular for commenting on the value of the work because there has been little data specific to outcomes of LD flap reconstructions. The technique has fallen out of favour in the past decade, due to the rise of ADM plus implant reconstruction and perforator flaps, but is still a valuable technique, especially in patients who have received or are planned to receive post mastectomy radiotherapy.
