Ophthalmic industry offers support for World Sight Day

The International Agency for the Prevention of Blindness is asking everyone to LoveYourEyes in recognition of World Sight Day on Oct. 14.
This year, the group's goal is for more than 1 million people to pledge to get an eye exam or care for their eyes, according to the group's website.
The World Council of Optometry announced in a press release that it supports this goal to help draw attention to the importance of eye health for everyone.
The WCO also urged eye care providers to pledge the number of eye exams, screenings or surgeries their organization will do in recognition
