    With interest we read the recent article by Yang et al1 on the utility of cardiac catheterization in infants with bronchopulmonary dysplasia-associated pulmonary hypertension. In line with recent consensus statements, which advocated a judicious use of cardiac catheterization in infants with BPD-PH,2 Yang et al provide a model-based cost-benefit rationale against obligatory invasive diagnostics prior to treatment initiation with sildenafil in infants with BPD-PH.
