    With nearly 40 cities and towns designated as Age-Friendly, as well as one of three statewide designations in the country, Massachusetts joined communities and organizations to learn and share best practices at the AARP Livable Communities Conference in Charlotte, North Carolina.
    AARP Massachusetts State Director Mike Festa moderated a panel of Age-Friendly States with Robin Lipson of the Executive Office of Elder Affairs representing the Commonwealth. New York and Colorado were also on stage to share their approaches to creating livable communities and states for all.

    AdvancingCities is a $500 million, five-year initiative from JPMorgan Chase & Co. to invest in solutions that bolster the long-term vitality of the world's cities and the communities within them that have not benefited from economic growth.
    The AdvancingCities Challenge will make investments of up to $3 million in cities to support creative, collaborative and sustainable solutions that address cross-cutting challenges to help more people benefit from a growing economy.
