• Transoral excision of dermoid cyst: Is it a cosmetic approach that can ensure safety?

    Dermoid cysts are glow-growing benign lesions that can occur anywhere through the body and also are found as bulging cystic masses in sublingual, submental, or submandibular spaces. Surgical treatment is recommended by complete excision of the dermoid cysts in these regions, usually through an external neck incision. However, the transcervical approach may leave visible incision scars on the neck, a cosmetically sensitive area. This study aimed to examine the safety and effectiveness of transoral excision of dermoid cysts.
