• Orlando joins historic study of blood-donor policy for gay men

    For two decades, advocates have fought the FDA's ban on gay men donating blood. A new research effort, now recruiting up to 300 gay and bisexual men in the Orlando area, could finally end what critics say is an “outdated” federal policy. OneBlood, the American Red Cross and fellow nonprofit Vitalant are part of the historic pilot study.
