• Mechanical Thrombectomy in an Infant with Acute Embolic Stroke

    A 9-month-old previously healthy male infant was admitted with acute respiratory failure due to parainfluenza infection requiring intubation. On the day after admission, an acute pulmonary hypertension crisis causing cardiovascular collapse led to initiation of venoarterial extracorporeal membrane oxygenation with standard therapeutic anticoagulation.
