• University of Pittsburgh Medical Center renames sports medicine building in honor of Freddie Fu, MD

    The University of Pittsburgh Medical Center announced it has renamed the medical building on the campus of the UPMC Rooney Sports Complex to the UPMC Freddie Fu Sports Medicine Center, in honor of Freddie H. Fu, MD, DSc, DPs, the David Silver Professor, chair of the department of surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and Orthopedics Today Editorial Board Member.
    The UPMC Sports Medicine Program was founded by Fu in 1986 and grew to become one of the largest, most comprehensive clinical and research programs of its kind, according to a UPMC press release. The
